I went and saw it last night, and I lubb it. <3 It's so amazing and funny and just.... wow. And Johnny Depp is so sexy, even when he's portraying a creepy child-hater with an ugly haircut.
I don't understand why critics were going on about how it's too similar to the Michael Jackson trial. How is it similar? Because Willie Wonka acts like a child? He HATES children. He's just an eccentric man. CRITICS ARE STUPID.
And that is my extremely intelligent opinion, now let's hear yours.

I went to see this movie with my two friends and all three of us agree that it is one of the best movies of all time. Johnny Depp's Wonka was such a smart ass and so mean to those bratty children. It was good to see people like that get what they deserve. We laughed, we clapped, and we cheered. Excellent movie.
Critics are just stupid. They bash Depp's performance more than anything and always compare it to the original movie. But, this isn't based on the original movie, it's based on the book. They just seem to forget that.
Oh, and effeminite, latex-wearing, Johnny Depp = Very, very sexy.

I saw the first show on the day it came out. I came an hour early just to get good seats. The hour wait was worth it though....sorta...

To be truthfully honest I have to admit; my taste in the wonderfully imaginitive Wonka Factory will always be in the original. YET, I do love it that this one went into the book a bit more. With the whole oompa loompa thing I mean. Sticking to the original story is always a winner, but I do seem to lean towards the old movie because of the fact of the songs. LOL. Yes, I know childish, but I'll point out my weakness once and for all. "Oompa-loompa doompity-doo, I have ano-ther story for-you...." Will be in my head, and heart for all times. A chocolate eating, stary eyed weirdo of a child has always fancied my insides, and I say...This latest movie has only fueled its sugary desires. Depp did an incredible job of portraying Wonka as that freaky man who detests the very sight of the rotten teethed mongrels many people know as 'children' when in fact they are beasts who only get spoiled along with those sweet treats. Bravo...I must say, bravo. It brought a new sense of what it could be imagined as, plus the excitment of a whole new cast of actors. Color me impressed.

I saw it the first day it came out with two friends. ...We originally just went to see how stupid it would be, but we ended up loving it! I like it a lot more than the original. I love the special effects, the casting is a whole lot better in this version, and it was FUNNY! XD ...And it's true that Johhny looks sexy even when he's at his 'worst'. But I guess that's why he's Johnny Depp ^^;;

I saw this the first night it came out, then again a week later with my boyfriend. I love it way more than the original (Mostly 'cause my uncle watches the original five times a month, and it's annoying..)
