Ayame waited outside the den where yet another meeting for taking place. There were peace talks among the different Yorozouku. They had yet to be able to work out an agreement.
She slowed her breathing down so that she was able to listen to what they were privately discussing. Nothing was going smoothly in there. However, she waited for the outcome. She secretly hoped that the outcome would be negative, perhaps she would be sent to see him again.
No, rejection once was enough for her. She heard a few voices being raised in anger. The tension seemed to ooze from the room. She could feel it and it made her shudder. The males seemed to clam themselves down.
Her katana was at her side in case anything got rough in there. Her grandfather, however wouldn't need her, he had his two bodyguards with him. Her eyes looked up at the clear blue sky of the day. The sun was warm and there was a slight breeze in the air. She could see the mass of ground that was below from the cliff.
It seemed that the early morning meeting had ended with no luck for peace among the tribes. Ayame waited for all the leaders of the different tribes to leave the den. She would have to speak with her grandfather about the matter at hand.

Another meeting had turned sour. Her grandfather had discussed a bit with her. She thought a bit about it. Later that night, she thought of all the things that had happen in the last few months. She thought about when she saw Kouga for the first time in ages and the odd monster. She remembered when the tribe was attacked and her uncle was killed. A lot had happen then. Ayame remembered when Kouga had fought with the monster of a man with the shard in his forehead.
As she lay on her fur bed, it seemed to dawn on her. Kouga’s words from long before seemed to pass through her head. ‘Wouldn’t it be better for you to stop listening to your grandfather and do what you want to do?’
She was going to do what she wanted to do. It was what she needed to do. Ayame was going to offer her assistance in the fight against Naraku. She wasn’t going to ask about the promise. No, what was forgotten was forgotten. This Naraku was a powerful being and strength came in numbers. She was an able fighter and had trained hard.
However, as of now she waited for what the morning would bring. She would gather her select wolves and head out perhaps the next afternoon once she had discussed her drastic choice with her grandfather. She drifted off to a dreamless sleep for the night.

((Out of Character Note: She needs a bit of a back-story. I don’t want her to just rush in and be like “Raw, remember the promise… you asshole. Blah blah blah…” I want her to be seen as a bit more mature and less naïve. I bring a bit of a new take on the character… I suppose. Please remember that I haven’t seen episodes 99-167. But… I know what happens. Sort of. By the way: No one reply to this! Also, I'll be posting later in the Kaede's village roleplay. I'll do it when I get home. I'm at school at the moment. ))
