First of all, the administration reserves the right to change these rules at any time. This is our disclaimer.
Here we go.
We're expecting a lot from you, so please don't let us down. By coming here and joining this board, you are allowing us to assume that you know how to treat people with the respect that they deserve. We strongly believe in internet etiquette, so please follow common sense when dealing with your fellow members.
We also assume that you know enough of the Inuyasha series to understand what's going on. If you have questions, feel free to ask and we'll do our best to answer you. We would like for you to have seen beyond what Cartoon Network or YTV have shown, but it's not a prerequisite. However, if you haven't seen the whole series, do your best to look around online for episode summaries. Our roleplay begins after episode 167, so you need to know basically what happened before then.
Original characters, while not completely forbidden, are generally discouraged. The Inuyasha fandom is full of badly written fan characters, and we'd rather not have them on this board (READ: WE HATE MARY SUES BECAUSE THEY EAT OUR SOULS.) If you think you have a well written original character, then by all means, feel free to contact us about it. Send us a detailed profile, and if we feel that it makes sense, we'll allow you to use your character for the roleplay. However, we reserve the right to turn down any original character that we feel will not benefit our roleplay in any way.
If you would like to be a character from the series, contact us and we'll see if you have what it takes. You need to have a definitive knowledge of that character and how he/she behaves, and you also need to be fairly skilled as a writer. If we give you the character you want, and we feel that you're not doing a good job, we reserve the right to take that character away from you. This is not an insult to you personally.
We will be roleplaying in story format. This means writing a full sentence instead of using punctuation marks to define actions. Because Kagome is a bit of a grammar nazi, if she notices things are spelled incorrectly or are gramatically wrong, she'll discreetly go around and fix it. We'd prefer for you to not speak out of character in the roleplay forums, but if it's necessary, then you can type your OOC comment ((Like this.))
You may have noticed that there is an adult forum on this board. If you can prove you are either of legal age to view such material, or are mature enough to understand it, then PM Kagome and she'll give you the password. The roleplay in that forum can be graphic, but every other roleplay forum needs to be rated PG13.
Respect the staff. We cannot stress this enough! Each staff member was picked for a reason, and they're good at their job. If you have a problem with a moderator, send Kagome a private message and she'll deal with it.
If anyone wants to add anything, feel free to respond to this post.
